TL;DR
Training Consultant (Defence) (Learning & Development/Change Management): Designing, delivering, and evaluating learning strategies, training content, and adoption programs for Defence, government, and technology projects with an accent on curriculum development, stakeholder collaboration, and interactive facilitation. Focus on analysing complex learning needs, supporting system and process adoption, and solving delivery challenges across client environments.
Location: Canberra, Australia; office location in Canberra

What you will do
- Analyse learning needs and develop curricula, strategies, plans, and engaging audience-focused content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, clients, and stakeholders to achieve training outcomes.
- Facilitate face-to-face and online training using interactive techniques.
- Coordinate training agendas, timelines, content flow, and delivery calendars for end users.
- Support communications and change activities related to new systems, technologies, and ways of working.
- Maintain client relationships, provide status reporting, identify issues, and solve delivery problems.
Requirements
- Must hold AGSVA NV1 clearance, or currently hold Baseline clearance with the ability to gain NV1.
- 5+ years of end-to-end learning and development, training delivery, and/or change management experience.
- Experience with Learning & Development projects or Defence environments.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Minimum CIV Training and Assessment qualification.
- Ability to collaborate effectively and manage conflicting demands across client organisations.
Nice to have
- Experience with SADL and Defence Learning.
- Tertiary qualifications in Learning & Development, Human Resources, or Communications.
- Veteran or Defence service background; veterans are encouraged to apply even if not all requirements are met.
