Principal Product Engineer (DDR IP)

Location: Shanghai, China; approximately 10% travel to customer sites for silicon bring-up and debugging.

What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical interface for strategic customers deploying DDR PHY IP solutions.
• Debug customer silicon issues across systems and automated test equipment.
• Support post-silicon bring-up and diagnose signal integrity, power integrity, and hardware issues.
• Use oscilloscopes, BERTs, protocol exercisers, and analyzers to reproduce and investigate failures.
• Own customer support cases in SFDC and coordinate issue resolution using Sherlock and JIRA.
• Travel to customer sites for bring-up and debug activities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a similar field, with 10+ years of experience; alternatively, a PhD with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Memory PHY, Memory Controller, and DRAM technologies.
• Experience using advanced mixed-signal verification and system simulation tools.
• Strong post-silicon bring-up, debugging, problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment for reproducing customer failures.
• Understanding of signal integrity and power integrity concepts, with the ability to diagnose hardware issues.

• Familiarity with advanced technology nodes at 7 nm and below.
