Senior Electrical Engineer, Hardware Systems (AI Infrastructure)

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite)

Salary: $200,000–$320,000 base plus equity

hirify.global is hiring for a stealth AI infrastructure startup founded by engineers from Tesla Dojo, Apple Silicon, AMD Zen, and Cerebras. The startup is developing a computing platform using wafer-scale architectures and advanced 3D integration to improve AI performance, compute density, and infrastructure efficiency.

What you will do

• Design accelerator boards and system hardware from schematics through production.
• Develop and validate high-current power delivery networks for AI accelerators.
• Drive PCB layout for high-speed PCIe, DDR, LPDDR, and SerDes interfaces.
• Bring up and validate new boards in the lab using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and protocol analyzers.
• Collaborate with silicon, packaging, signal integrity, power integrity, firmware, and thermal engineering teams on system-level challenges.
• Use AI-assisted engineering workflows to accelerate board design and debugging.

Requirements

• 5+ years of board-level or system-level electrical design experience for high-performance digital systems.
• Experience designing complex PCBs with Altium, Cadence Allegro, or similar tools.
• Strong experience with high-speed interfaces including PCIe, DDR, LPDDR, or SerDes.
• Hands-on board bring-up, validation, and electrical debugging experience.
• Experience designing and validating power delivery networks for high-power systems.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, and board-level electrical design.

Nice to have

• AI accelerator, GPU, or datacenter hardware experience.
• Accelerator card or server motherboard design experience.
• High-current GPU or accelerator power delivery experience.
• Package-to-board integration, FPGA-based systems, or thermal co-design experience.
• Experience with ANSYS HFSS, SIwave, or similar signal integrity and power integrity tools.
