TL;DR

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States; in-office work required most days

Salary: $95,000–$245,000 US base salary per year

What you will do

  • Translate project and system requirements into hardware architectures for complex avionics solutions.
  • Design, simulate, prototype, debug, verify, and test electronic hardware, including flight computers, FPGAs, processors, memory modules, communication interfaces, backplanes, power circuits, and timing circuits.
  • Support ECAD layout, manufacturing documentation, requirements development, testing, deployment, and ongoing hardware support.
  • Identify program and system-level technical risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary work, communicate status to project leadership and customers, and support proposals and sponsor engagement.
  • Develop and teach engineering best practices while mentoring less experienced engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency in electronic design, detailed design specifications, engineering analysis, and hardware testing.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, planning, communication, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
  • Ability to support in-office work in Cambridge most days.
