Software Engineer Intern (Fall 2026)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; in-office attendance 3–5 days per week

Salary: €2,450 per month for Portugal-based hires.

What you will do

• Ship and deliver an engineering project over a 12–14 week internship with autonomy and mentor support.
• Build software that operates across hirify.global’s large-scale Internet infrastructure.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and other teams.
• Work with a mentor on technical development and career goals.
• Present the completed project to the company at the end of the internship.
• Participate in professional development, networking, and knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree or program in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
• Strong critical-thinking skills and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Curiosity, empathy, proactivity, and the ability to complete projects.
• Availability for a full-time, 40-hour-per-week internship from Monday to Friday for at least 12 weeks.
• Availability for one of the listed internship terms: September 14–December 4 or September 28–December 18, 2026.
• Ability to work in the Lisbon office 3–5 days per week.
