Fullstack Developer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Own individual features end-to-end within the dispute automation buildout, including deadline tracking and evidence collection.
• Extend dispute lifecycle coverage to new payment service providers.
• Build components of the native rules and signals engine, such as velocity rules and device fingerprinting.
• Contribute to fraud vendor integration work, improving how merchants manage and switch between providers.
• Write RFCs and ADRs for owned components while working independently.
• Support the development of a new frontend Dispute Management dashboard.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in South Africa, Hungary, Poland, Portugal, or Romania.
• Recent experience shipping production-ready software independently, either backend or full-stack.
• Comfortable writing RFCs and making architecture decisions with minimal oversight.
• Ability to transition into Python without prior experience.
• Solid instincts regarding testing, observability, and security.

Nice to have

• Exposure to card scheme rules, chargeback workflows, or fraud vendor integrations.
• Experience with webhook-based event systems, rules engines, or orchestration platforms.
