What you will do

  • Assemble structural and mechanical wind turbine components using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and overhead cranes.
  • Follow work instructions, engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to complete accurate builds.
  • Perform torquing, alignment, fit-up, material handling, and inspections for gearboxes, bearings, shafts, nacelles, and hubs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized production area while meeting assigned production benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams on process improvements, audits, root-cause analysis, and troubleshooting.
  • Support other production areas, including electrical assembly, as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, with mechanical certifications or technical training preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical assembly or heavy manufacturing.
  • Experience with wind turbine, automotive, or industrial equipment assembly.
  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints, work instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes and ability to obtain and maintain required crane operator certification.
  • Fluent English is required to follow safety instructions and communicate with supervisors and colleagues; respiratory fit testing and work at heights are required.
