Plant Quality Technician (m/f/d) (Wind Turbine Manufacturing)

Location: West Branch, Iowa, United States; plant-based role.

What you will do

• Perform incoming, in-process, and End-of-Line inspections against quality standards, technical specifications, and legal requirements.
• Monitor production processes and identify material, component, assembly, and final-product quality deviations.
• Document and follow up on non-conformities, deviations, and corrective actions through closure.
• Support root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive action plans with production, engineering, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Maintain inspection records, test results, quality documentation, and audit support materials.
• Operate measurement equipment, provide technical guidance to production teams, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required; a bachelor’s degree in quality or a technical field is preferred.
• At least three years of professional quality-control experience in manufacturing.
• Knowledge of quality inspection techniques, quality standards, and non-conformity management.
• Understanding of electrical or mechanical systems, components, and schematics.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and quality management systems such as SAP QM.
• Fluent spoken and written English required; ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds as needed.

Nice to have

• Two years of quality-control experience in wind turbine manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in quality or a technical field.
• Understanding of ISO 9000:2000 Quality System.
