What you will do

• Design and evolve distributed backend architecture for a large-scale real-time gaming platform.
• Develop and maintain highly available, scalable microservices, APIs, and data models.
• Build event-driven systems handling high-throughput traffic and real-time messaging workloads.
• Deploy, monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize services in AWS environments.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with Frontend, Data, Infrastructure, Security, and Product teams on technical solutions and documentation.

Requirements

• Significant experience developing backend services for high-traffic platforms handling 10K+ requests per second.
• Strong knowledge of load balancing, high availability, scaling, caching, databases, and storage optimization.
• Proficiency in event-driven distributed architectures and Redis or Kafka, including data structures, pub/sub, streams, and pipelines.
• Proficiency with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including data modeling, optimization, transactions, and locks.
• Knowledge of cloud environments and DevOps practices, including CI/CD, Docker, and observability.
• Mandatory academic background from CPGE scientifiques (Maths Sup / Maths Spé).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of JavaScript and the Node ecosystem, which supports the platform's microservices.
• Experience with poker, sports betting, online gaming, or other real-time high-performance platforms.
