Senior Backend Developer (PHP)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and applications using PHP and Symfony.
• Build and optimize solutions for large-scale datasets reaching tens of terabytes.
• Contribute to backend architecture and improve scalability, maintainability, performance, and reliability.
• Develop new features from product and business requirements and resolve complex technical issues.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product designers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions while maintaining high engineering standards.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on web service development experience with a backend focus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP 8, Symfony 5+, and Doctrine ORM.
• Experience designing complex, high-load backend systems and processing large-scale data.
• Expert knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, and the ELK stack.
• Understanding of Vue.js, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Unix-like operating systems.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of PHP internals and underlying implementation mechanisms.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming principles and software design patterns.
