Cloud Network Engineer III (Cloud Networking)

Location: Anchorage, Alaska, United States; remote work is eligible with restrictions. The role may require occasional travel between retail stores, offices, worksites, or other locations and availability outside core business hours for emergencies.

What you will do

• Design, implement, and maintain data center, campus LAN, WAN, internet edge, branch, hybrid-cloud, and software-defined data center networks.
• Build and deploy physical and virtual network infrastructure, including firewalls, load balancers, routers, and switches.
• Automate network deployment, testing, monitoring, and operational processes using continuous delivery practices.
• Manage capacity, performance, escalations, outages, operational KPIs, documentation, and network drawings.
• Coordinate architecture, engineering, project management, and customer-facing technical activities.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians and provide technical direction on complex projects.

Requirements

• At least six years of progressive experience in cloud networking, network design and implementation, or complex network management.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer technologies, network engineering, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may substitute year for year.
• Thorough experience designing and configuring networks using Cisco service provider product lines.
• Strong knowledge of IP addressing, routing, Layer 2 and Layer 3 troubleshooting, physical and virtual firewalls, routers, switches, SDN, VNFs, and VMware network virtualization.
• Strong automation and scripting skills, with experience building IT solutions and administering 24/7 server environments.
• Ability to work in a remote or standard office/home-office setting under hirify.global’s remote-work policies, with occasional travel and after-hours emergency availability.

Nice to have

• Cisco, F5, Aruba, Palo Alto, or VMware certifications.
• Telecommunications experience or other telecom and job-specific certifications.
