Network Engineer (Cisco/Palo Alto)

What you will do

• Support the design, deployment, and daily management of corporate, datacenter, and cloud network infrastructure.
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching, wireless, WAN/LAN, VPN, SD-WAN, and Palo Alto firewall environments.
• Implement secure and scalable network architectures, including segmentation and Zero Trust principles.
• Monitor performance, plan capacity, and maintain high availability across datacenters, cloud environments, and global offices.
• Respond to escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis, and develop long-term fixes.
• Document network configurations and runbooks, participate in change control, and support office buildouts, datacenter upgrades, and cloud migrations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in enterprise networking, including enterprise and datacenter environments.
• Expert hands-on proficiency with Cisco switches, routers, and wireless systems; Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs; and SD-WAN platforms.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, ACLs, NAT, network monitoring, and network management tools.
• Experience with AWS or Azure networking services, including VPCs, VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Ansible or Python scripting for network configuration automation.
• Familiarity with ITIL change management practices.
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, AWS Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate.
