Senior Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Network Engineer (Enterprise Networking): Designing, deploying, and supporting enterprise-grade network solutions for healthcare organizations and business clients with an accent on network architecture, infrastructure modernization, and cloud connectivity. Focus on leading data center initiatives, solving complex network escalations, advising clients, and mentoring engineers across managed services environments.

Location: Fully remote within the U.S.; Western U.S. and Pacific Time Zone candidates are preferred. Participation in a shared on-call rotation is required.

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and support enterprise-grade network solutions.
• Lead network architecture, infrastructure modernization, and data center initiatives.
• Act as a technical subject matter expert across routing, switching, security, WAN, LAN, wireless, and cloud networking.
• Assess client environments, provide strategic recommendations, and implement solutions.
• Support discovery, consulting, and pre-sales engagements.
• Mentor engineers and coordinate with vendors, carriers, and internal teams.

Requirements

• 7+ years of network engineering experience and 10+ years of overall IT infrastructure, engineering, or support experience.
• Strong expertise in routing, switching, VPNs, firewalls, WAN, LAN, and wireless technologies.
• Experience designing complex enterprise and data center networking solutions.
• Cloud networking experience.
• Strong communication and client-facing consulting skills.
• Availability for a shared on-call rotation supporting critical network escalations outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• CCNA certification.
• CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, or ITIL certification.
• Managed service provider experience.
