Location: Hybrid role based in Suffolk, Virginia, United States. Active DoD Top Secret clearance is required; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a United States DoD security clearance. Visa sponsorship is not available.

What you will do

• Lead Tier 2 operations and resolve complex transport and SD-WAN incidents.
• Perform root cause analysis for major and recurring network problems and present actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with Tier 3 engineers and network architects on design, optimization, and capacity planning.
• Develop, test, and deploy SD-WAN policies for traffic steering, QoS, and security.
• Create SOPs, technical diagrams, knowledge base articles, scripts, and automation tools.
• Evaluate and integrate new network technologies, software versions, and hardware platforms.

Requirements

• Active Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance required.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating complex WAN/LAN environments with BGP, OSPF, and switching.
• At least 3 years of direct experience with SD-WAN architecture, deployment, management, policy creation, and overlay/underlay troubleshooting.
• Experience troubleshooting complex telecommunications transport issues involving MPLS, Carrier Ethernet, and 5G/LTE providers.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct root cause analysis and develop long-term solutions.
• US citizenship or authorization to work in the United States is expected; visa sponsorship is unavailable.

Nice to have

• Network automation and scripting experience.
• CCNP or equivalent advanced certification.
• Advanced SD-WAN certification.
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+ certification.
