Regional Security Manager, Bay Area

Location: Onsite at the San Francisco headquarters five days a week. Candidates must reside in or be willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area, including Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, or Sonoma counties. Occasional travel and on-call duties during critical incidents are required. Relocation assistance may be available.

Salary: $180,000–$202,500 base salary annually, plus equity and benefits.

What you will do

• Run day-to-day operations and long-term security projects for the San Francisco headquarters and European offices.
• Manage the contract Security Officer team and maintain service and professionalism standards.
• Support employees, visitors, and internal events through security guidance, investigations, interviews, and training.
• Develop operating procedures, guard-force protocols, vendor KPIs, SLAs, audits, and improvement plans.
• Coordinate headquarters incident response, annual exercises, scenarios, and training objectives.
• Monitor security systems and plan technical architecture covering video management, access control, system controls, and related products.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of physical security experience, including guard force management and corporate office security.
• At least 2 years of people management experience.
• Experience with project management, RFPs, process and change management, vendor relationships, budgets, forecasting, and contracts.
• Experience with access control and video management systems, including Brivo, Genetec, HID, or comparable platforms.
• Strong communication, de-escalation, customer service, prioritization, and emergency response skills.
• High integrity and discretion, with availability for on-call critical incidents and occasional travel.

Nice to have

• ASIS CPP, APP, CTM, or PSP certification.
• Knowledge of California Bay Area law enforcement agencies and regulatory requirements.
• Startup or technology industry experience.
• Advanced familiarity with the platform.
