Encounter Data AI & Automation Lead (AI)

Location: Remote nationwide within the United States; occasional travel to hirify.global offices for training or meetings may be required.

Salary: $94,900–$130,500 per year, plus eligibility for a bonus incentive plan.

What you will do

• Lead AI and automation initiatives that improve encounter data accuracy and reduce manual reconciliation work.
• Monitor and evaluate AI model performance, reconciliation rates, error trends, and data quality outcomes.
• Analyze complex data issues, identify root causes, and use AI-driven insights to develop solutions.
• Partner with business and technical teams to improve models and prioritize automation opportunities.
• Communicate AI performance, risks, and progress to stakeholders in a clear and actionable way.
• Maintain the roadmap and backlog for AI improvements and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience working with AI or machine learning models, including monitoring and improving model performance.
• At least 4 years of experience working in a healthcare environment.
• At least 2 years of project or program leadership experience.
• Experience using data to identify trends, solve problems, and improve processes.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• A dedicated home workspace and high-speed wired cable or DSL internet are required; minimum speeds are 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload. Satellite and wireless internet are not allowed.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI/ML tools, data platforms, or automation technologies.
• Familiarity with claims adjudication systems or encounter submission platforms such as Edifecs.
• Experience partnering with data science teams.
• Background in process automation or transformation initiatives.
