What you will do

• Lead a general ledger accounting team and own its goals, operations, performance, and results.
• Manage month-end processes and support quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
• Maintain general ledger integrity through account reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations while maintaining the chart of accounts in Oracle.
• Establish performance expectations, mentor employees, and manage hiring, development, reviews, and corrective actions.
• Support accounting policy compliance and manage special projects.

Requirements

• Must be able to work in the United States; the position is based in Anchorage and is remote eligible.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least seven years of progressively responsible general ledger accounting experience.
• At least two years of supervisory or management experience, or equivalent functional leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting procedures, internal controls, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills and extensive experience with accounting software, particularly Oracle.

Nice to have

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification.
• Telecommunications experience.
• Relevant telecom or job-specific certifications.
