What you will do

• Execute period-end close activities, including complex journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Manage month-end procedures for key balance sheet and income statement accounts.
• Drive process establishment, improvement, and system implementation for financial processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to provide financial insights and relevant analysis/reporting.
• Research technical accounting rules and implement recommendations on accounting issues.
• Facilitate financial audits and create high-level accounting policies, procedures, and controls.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a major in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of progressive work experience in accounting.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Mountain View, CA (minimum 3 days/week).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for manipulating and reporting large sets of data.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Big four public accounting experience or CPA certification.
• Experience with ASC 842.
• Proficiency with NetSuite, Coupa, and Blackline.
