Staff Accountant

Salary: $76,000–$133,000

What you will do

• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Generate materials for monthly and quarterly internal and external reporting.
• Analyze account activity and perform various reconciliations.
• Implement and maintain SOX controls and process documentation.
• Support annual financial audits and periodic internal reviews.
• Optimize and document general accounting processes for assigned areas.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.
• 1+ years of experience as an accounting professional.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP.
• Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLookUps.
• Must be based in the US (Chicago or Los Angeles) and adhere to a 4+ days per week office presence.

Nice to have

• CPA License or currently in progress.
• Experience with Big 4 firms.
• Experience in Fortune 500 or private companies.
• Experience working with cloud finance systems such as Oracle.
