Business Analyst

Location: Washington, DC; work is primarily performed in an office environment.

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 per year.

What you will do

• Analyze and document business processes, mission-support workflows, and requirements for interconnected systems and databases.
• Define functional and non-functional requirements for data integration and structured data exchange.
• Translate business needs into technical specifications and coordinate with development, implementation, QA, compliance, and project teams.
• Facilitate stakeholder meetings, maintain action items, and support backlog grooming, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Create and maintain BRDs, use cases, functional requirements, flow diagrams, data models, and swimlane diagrams.
• Support UAT by defining test scenarios, reviewing test cases, and validating implemented solutions.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain, maintain, and access classified information at the Public Trust level.
• Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of business analysis experience focused on business systems, requirements, interoperability, and data exchange.
• At least 3 years of experience in an Agile environment, including Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
• Hands-on experience with SDLC, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, testing, and implementation.
• Experience translating business requirements into technical specifications and producing business and system documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• SQL and database query experience for healthcare data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI or Tableau.
