Senior Business Analyst, IT Operations

Location: Remote within the United States; preferred location is Reston, Virginia, with hybrid or remote work available.

Salary: $81,499–$138,549 annually

What you will do

• Gather, clarify, and document data-related and system requirements with stakeholders and technical teams.
• Create user stories and tasks in JIRA to support client deliverables.
• Support operations and DevOps work, including product enhancements.
• Prepare business requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and other system documentation.
• Facilitate communication between Product, stakeholders, marketing, and other functional organizations.
• Track tasks and support project delivery using project management tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Math, Engineering, Science, IT, or a related discipline; related experience may substitute for education.
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role supporting data-driven or technical systems.
• 2+ years of experience prioritizing multiple projects, deliverables, and time-sensitive assignments.
• Experience gathering requirements, translating business needs into technical solutions, and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently with strong communication, facilitation, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile software development and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience supporting data-related workflows or systems.
• Knowledge of JIRA and/or Confluence.
• Experience defining business processes and documenting software requirements.
• Experience working with developers to validate that requirements are met.
