Senior Business Analyst

TL;DR

Senior Business Analyst (Agile/SDLC): Translating business objectives into structured requirements, user stories, business cases, and delivery plans for large-scale consumer and commercial products with an accent on discovery, stakeholder alignment, and measurable success criteria. Focus on facilitating Scrum ceremonies, structuring work in Azure DevOps or Jira, documenting delivery processes, and solving ambiguity across concurrent initiatives.

Location: Fully onsite in the LoDo/Union Station office in Denver, Colorado; daily presence is required. Remote, hybrid, and out-of-area candidates are not considered.

Salary: $116,000–$145,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead discovery sessions with stakeholders to define business problems, desired outcomes, and measurable success criteria.
• Translate business needs into features, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable engineering tickets.
• Facilitate backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and other Scrum ceremonies while tracking sprint progress and velocity.
• Develop project packages and support business cases by articulating value, scope, risks, dependencies, and leadership narratives.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence and establish consistent ticket and delivery standards across teams.
• Coordinate business stakeholders, product liaisons, engineering, and delivery teams across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, or a related field.
• 6–8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst in a matrixed technical environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodology and the full software development life cycle.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools, plus working knowledge of Confluence.
• Demonstrated ability to write precise requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria and to support business case development.
• Ability to work onsite daily in Denver; remote, hybrid, and out-of-area arrangements are not available.

Nice to have

• Market research industry experience.
• Professional certifications such as CBAP, CSM, or PMP.
