Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) (Cybersecurity) (Windows, Cloud, IA): Developing, operating, and securing networked systems supporting digital forensic investigations with an accent on security architecture, compliance, vulnerability assessment, and Federal ATO processes. Focus on assessing NIST SP 800-53 controls, gathering authorization evidence, managing SCAP/STIG scans, and maintaining system security across infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments.

What you will do
- Develop security compliance and standardization practices aligned with customer policies.
- Apply information assurance technologies to the architecture, design, development, evaluation, and integration of systems, applications, and networks.
- Work with government customers to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems and data.
- Support Security Assessment and Authorization programs, IA policy directives, and policy guides.
- Configure, schedule, review, and assess vulnerability and compliance scans using tools such as Tenable.io, Nessus Pro, and Nmap.
- Maintain and enhance security programs and infrastructure across Windows, virtual, and cloud environments.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of experience in security requirements analysis and computer system design.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Security or a related field, or five additional years of experience in lieu of education.
- Experience with cyber-risk and compliance management systems such as Xacta or RiskVision.
- At least one year of experience assessing vulnerability and compliance scans, including SCAP and/or DISA STIG scans.
- Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 security controls, operating system security, network security, application security, and Splunk.
- Active Top Secret clearance, successful polygraph completion, and ability to obtain SCI access required.
Nice to have
- Deep understanding of AWS and Azure cloud security and resource management.
- Understanding of AI and LLM technologies and use cases.
- CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner, or Cisco Certified Cybersecurity Professional certification.
