Principal Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

Location: On-site in Chantilly, Virginia, United States. An active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph clearance is required.

Salary: $160,000–$185,000 per year.

What you will do

• Provide technical and programmatic information assurance services for complex network and information security systems.
• Design, develop, and implement security requirements, architectures, tools, and system enhancements.
• Prepare and execute security test and evaluation plans, system security plans, contingency plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Support certification and accreditation, compliance audits, incident investigations, and complex risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Analyze policies against federal laws and regulations and recommend solutions to address security gaps.
• Lead technical briefings, research, and business-development capture efforts with prospective government clients.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 12+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Recognized expertise in information assurance and information systems security engineering.
• Extensive certification and accreditation experience using DIACAP, NIACAP, NIST SP 800-37, and/or DCID 6/3.
• Proven ability to solve unusually complex technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Ability to lead technical briefings and support business-development and capture activities.

Nice to have

• CISSP-ISSEP, CISM, or other advanced security certifications.
• Cloud security architecture experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience with DataBricks, GitLab, Spark, or Jira in secure government environments.
• Automated compliance-as-code and DevSecOps experience.
• Consulting or advisory experience with senior government stakeholders.
