People Business Partner (Human Resources)

Location: Santa Monica, United States; hybrid work with office attendance generally required Monday through Thursday and flexible remote work on Fridays.

Salary: $144,000–$162,000 annually for California-based employees.

What you will do

• Partner with Content and Legal leaders and managers on talent needs and people strategies.
• Advise on HR policies, employment-law-sensitive matters, employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.
• Handle confidential employee information and support the needs of content, creative, legal, contingent, and freelance workforces.
• Support engagement, diversity and inclusion, learning and development, organizational culture, and change management initiatives.
• Analyze HR metrics to identify trends and provide data-informed recommendations.
• Collaborate on cross-functional HR projects and provide career development guidance to employees.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, communications, or a related field.
• 4–7 years of Human Resources experience focused on business partnership.
• Experience building relationships with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and sensitive matters.
• Experience with HR systems, preferably Workday, plus strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting content, entertainment, legal, or professional services organizations.
• Experience working with AI tools, agents, or automation to improve quality and scale impact.
