What you will do
- Design, develop, debug, and optimize software for factory automation, wafer processing, and packaging systems.
- Integrate hardware, software, middleware, firmware, and embedded systems into manufacturing workflows.
- Build automated solutions for process monitoring, data collection, and real-time analysis.
- Create and validate software test plans and ensure quality and performance compliance.
- Diagnose cross-domain hardware and software issues and provide technical support to manufacturing teams.
- Improve software engineering processes and deploy solutions supporting new manufacturing product introductions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field with 4+ years of relevant experience; equivalent combinations include a master’s degree with 3+ years or a PhD with 1+ year.
- Hands-on experience with one or more programming languages and applications.
- Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, validation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with networking protocols, operating system configuration, secure code development, scripting, and automation.
- Ability to work on-site in Hillsboro, Oregon, United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with manufacturing systems, automated material handling, or distributed enterprise applications.
- Laboratory equipment experience and data analysis for process optimization.
- Knowledge of high-speed testing, mixed-signal systems, thermal subsystems, or Intel manufacturing processes.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
