Salary: $175,000–$200,000 plus equity.

What you will do

• Serve as the actuarial and calculation subject-matter expert for illustration and policy administration capabilities.
• Translate life and annuity product specifications into implementable system logic, including crediting mechanisms, riders, benefit bases, and surrender charges.
• Prototype, code, and test calculation logic using AI tools in partnership with Engineering.
• Support legacy policy migrations and new product implementations by validating calculation logic and source-to-target accuracy.
• Validate system outputs, resolve discrepancies, and support User Acceptance Testing for product implementations and platform enhancements.
• Document calculation methodologies, business rules, implementation decisions, and support carrier and vendor onboarding.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in the life insurance industry, with deep knowledge of life and annuity products such as IUL, VUL, FIA, and complex riders.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience building pricing models or implementing illustration and policy administration systems.
• Ability to connect actuarial calculations with real-world policy administration workflows and downstream system behavior.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting technical and business logic for varied audiences.
• Ability to build processes and make sound decisions in a fast-moving environment.
• Must be eligible to work remotely from the United States; hirify.global uses E-Verify for newly hired employees.

Nice to have

• Actuarial credentials such as ASA or FSA, or equivalent technical depth in life insurance product mathematics.
• Experience with annuities, agentic coding tools, and AI-assisted development workflows.
• Experience supporting policy migrations or legacy block conversions.
