What you will do

• Research, market, underwrite, price, and issue new large loss-sensitive accounts with premiums above $350,000.
• Develop marketing and acquisition strategies by analyzing customer businesses, risk exposures, products, and competitive trends.
• Evaluate coverage, rating plans, classifications, documentation, and pricing in line with underwriting standards.
• Partner with agents, claims, safety management, field teams, and other stakeholders to deliver account surveys and service.
• Build relationships across a broad regional geography through customer visits, trade shows, committees, and industry events.
• Lead or support special projects, process improvements, and cross-regional best-practice initiatives.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of commercial underwriting experience.
• Minimum 5 years of field underwriting or insurance marketing experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience with large accounts.
• Extensive underwriting knowledge, strong risk-analysis and decision-making skills, and the ability to meet growth and profitability goals.
• Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, relationship-building, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Valid state-issued driver's license in good standing; willingness and ability to travel by car within the territory.
