What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruitment for AI Research, ML, data, evaluations, and ML infrastructure roles.
• Partner with research leadership and the CEO to define specialised candidate profiles and hiring priorities.
• Source candidates through AI labs, research organisations, startups, universities, open-source communities, publications, and scientific networks.
• Assess the depth and impact of candidates’ research, engineering work, publications, models, datasets, experiments, and production systems.
• Engage passive technical candidates and communicate the significance of hirify.global’s AI safety problems.
• Design structured hiring processes, improve recruiting performance, and support hiring beyond research roles when needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience hiring research and ML talent.
• Personal experience hiring for roles such as Research Scientist, Research Engineer, Applied Scientist, Multimodal ML Engineer, or ML Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong understanding of LLM training and fine-tuning, inference, evaluations, data pipelines, model behavior, multimodal learning, agent systems, and ML infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical profiles beyond keywords, titles, or company names and distinguish between specialised research and engineering roles.
• Experience recruiting across the US and European markets.
• Fluent written and spoken English at C1+ level required.

• Recruiting experience at a frontier AI lab, AI safety organisation, research-focused startup, or leading AI company.
• An established network among AI researchers, research engineers, and ML infrastructure specialists.
• Experience sourcing through publications, conferences, citations, GitHub, open-source projects, research communities, and academic labs.
• Technical or research background in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience recruiting at an early-stage startup with evolving research priorities.
