AI Research Recruiter

hirify.global is an AI Safety company building a safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems through natural-language policies that are automatically tested, enforced, and improved at scale.

What you will do

• Own full-cycle recruitment for AI research, multimodal machine learning, research science, evaluations, agentic systems, and ML infrastructure roles.
• Develop a deep understanding of research priorities, technical challenges, and the profiles required to solve them.
• Source candidates through AI labs, research organizations, technical startups, universities, open-source communities, scientific networks, publications, conferences, GitHub, and academic labs.
• Assess candidates’ research contributions, engineering ability, originality, publications, models, datasets, experiments, and production systems.
• Engage passive researchers and engineers by communicating the technical significance of hirify.global’s problems.
• Design structured hiring processes, improve recruiting workflows, and advise technical hiring managers and research leadership.

Requirements

• 2+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, including significant experience hiring research and ML talent.
• Experience hiring for roles comparable to Research Scientist, Research Engineer, Applied Scientist, Multimodal ML Engineer, or ML Infrastructure Engineer.
• Ability to discuss LLM training and fine-tuning, inference, evaluations, data pipelines, model behavior, multimodal learning, agent systems, and ML infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret technical profiles beyond keywords, job titles, or company names and assess the significance of research and engineering work.
• Experience recruiting across the US and European markets and building credibility with highly technical candidates.
• Fluent written and spoken English at C1+ level.

• Experience recruiting for a frontier AI lab, AI safety organization, research-focused startup, or leading AI company.
• A strong network among AI researchers, research engineers, and ML infrastructure specialists.
• A technical or research background in computer science, machine learning, mathematics, or a related field.
• Experience recruiting for an early-stage startup with evolving research priorities and hiring requirements.
