MEP & Facility Utilites Manager

Location: Universal City, California, United States; required to work full-time onsite from an hirify.global-designated worksite.

Salary: USD 90,000–115,000 per year.

What you will do

• Oversee daily MEP operations across studio facilities and production environments, coordinating work requests and operational schedules.
• Maintain preventive maintenance, inspection, safety, regulatory compliance, documentation, and asset lifecycle programs.
• Coordinate vendors and contractors, including sourcing, RFPs, contract administration, quality control, and delivery tracking.
• Respond to after-hours equipment failures, HVAC disruptions, and electrical or plumbing incidents affecting operations.
• Support operating budgets, procurement, cost control, estimates, and capital improvement projects involving MEP systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, Emergency Services, and cross-functional teams on infrastructure planning, training, automation, sustainability, and emergency response.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in facility maintenance operations and managing union personnel.
• At least 2 years of experience in work planning and analysis, cost-effective business practices, and data analytics and verification.
• Strong organizational, project management, analytical, communication, customer service, and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of MEP systems, building codes, workplace safety, environmental compliance, energy efficiency, accessibility, fire protection, and emergency preparedness.
• Full-time onsite work at an hirify.global-designated worksite is required.

Nice to have

• Five or more years of experience in facilities or complex facility operations.
• Experience with IWMS, work planning and scheduling, materials management, Microsoft Office, ArcGIS, Tridium, and building or energy management systems.
• Professional designations such as BOMA or LEED.
• Experience managing in a union environment and operating in high-pressure, mission-critical facilities.
