What you will do

• Troubleshoot, repair, service, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial systems.
• Inspect buildings, grounds, equipment, and fire and life-safety systems for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.
• Install and modify building equipment, repair finishes, and perform carpentry, painting, grounds maintenance, and snow removal.
• Respond to emergency situations and customer service requests, including priority assignments and on-call duties.
• Evaluate maintenance operations and recommend upgrades or cost-saving opportunities.
• Use building automation systems, computers, tablets, smartphones, and web-based applications while following safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
• Technical, vocational, or on-the-job training in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, controls, power transmission, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record; a commercial license may be required.
• Basic skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Ability to work shifts, standby or on-call duties, overtime-type assignments, and emergency situations when required.
