What you will do

• Lead and modernise software engineering teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
• Deliver teaching on code comprehension, debugging, testing, maintenance, collaborative development, agile methods, requirements translation, and software architecture.
• Teach responsible use of generative AI, IDE assistants, automated code generation, and agentic software engineering workflows.
• Support renewal and long-term ownership of key course units and contribute to the MSc Software Engineering programme.
• Develop scholarship and innovative assessment approaches that provide personalised feedback while preserving academic integrity.
• Help students evaluate AI-related risks involving correctness, reliability, bias, explainability, data governance, intellectual property, security, ethics, and accountability.

Requirements

• Academic and professional expertise in software engineering education.
• Ability to teach software engineering at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Experience or strong capability in contemporary software development practices, including Git-based collaboration, automated testing, continuous integration, agile methods, and test-driven development.
• Ability to teach and critically evaluate AI-supported software engineering tools and workflows.
