Senior Manager, Learning Design Operations (EdTech)

What you will do

• Manage four learning designers, including goal setting, coaching, performance reviews, and professional development.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, talent development, and retention initiatives for the learning design function.
• Oversee multiple concurrent course development initiatives, ensuring appropriate resourcing, quality, schedules, and budgets.
• Evaluate capacity and allocate learning design resources according to business priorities and partner demand.
• Drive process, data, technology, and AI improvements to increase delivery efficiency, quality, and scalability.
• Coordinate with Academic Services leaders, university partners, faculty, and vendors to resolve risks and maintain delivery outcomes.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience leading a learning design team in a higher education context.
• At least 3 years of learning design experience.
• Experience managing multiple course development projects concurrently.
• Experience innovating with processes and technology to meet business needs.
• Undergraduate degree.
• Must reside in the United Kingdom. Ability to travel up to 10%.

Nice to have

• Experience leading a learning design team in an OPM company.
• Experience using data to improve business processes.
• Experience using AI to accelerate development and improve the student experience.
• Experience with authoring tools such as Evolve or Articulate and learning management systems such as Canvas, Moodle, or Blackboard.
