AI Mentor (AI Workflow Specialist Programme)

Location: Home based in the UK with occasional travel to the London office; applicants must currently be based in the UK and have the legal right to work there.

What you will do

• Mentor learners in identifying and implementing AI-driven workflow improvements that deliver measurable business impact and ROI.
• Provide formative and summative assessment against the Apprenticeship Standard and support high-quality project portfolio development.
• Prepare learners for the Apprenticeship End Point Assessment through technical support, check-ins, and mentoring sessions.
• Provide guidance on portfolio queries, learner progress, line manager input, and final employer references.
• Maintain regular communication with the Delivery Team, attend team meetings, and provide learner progress updates.
• Safeguard children and vulnerable adults, promote equality of opportunity, and complete relevant ad-hoc duties.

Requirements

• Knowledge of or practical experience with modern AI and data tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, Power BI, ChatGPT, or related platforms.
• Knowledge of or practical experience with low-code/no-code workflow automation and orchestration tools such as Copilot Studio, Power Automate, Claude Code & Cowork, Zapier, Make, N8N, or related platforms.
• Deep understanding of prompt engineering, context engineering, and practical application of LLMs in business processes.
• Experience leading business change initiatives, improving productivity through AI, or embedding AI tools into team workflows.
• Experience mentoring, teaching, or coaching professionals in a learning or organisational development context, particularly apprenticeships or digital skills.
• Ability to prioritise workload, meet strict deadlines, and follow governing procedures and controls.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting colleague development.
• Conscientious approach, excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to work under pressure.

Nice to have

• Background in education or an AI-related field.
• Practical knowledge of LLMOps, model evaluation, safety guardrails, AI ethics, and ROI estimation.
• Relevant Claude, Azure AI, AWS AI or Cloud, Microsoft AI, Microsoft 365 Copilot, or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
