Junior Software Engineer (Cyber Analytics)

Salary: $165,000–$185,000 per year

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, test, and maintain electronic data processing software.
• Build applications and systems that integrate complex logical and mathematical solutions.
• Develop low-level components such as compilers, assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems.
• Analyze user needs, requirements, interfaces, and system capabilities to resolve technical problems.
• Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict design consequences and optimize system performance.
• Coordinate software installations and collaborate with hardware engineers, systems analysts, and programmers.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with FS Polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Understanding of software engineering principles, theories, and concepts.
• Professional experience designing, developing, and debugging application software.
• Experience with systems-level programming, including compilers, assemblers, or operating systems.
• Strong background in mathematical modeling and scientific analysis for software design.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitLab and Jira.
• Familiarity with containerization and cloud-based data processing environments.
• Experience in Agile development environments.
• Knowledge of C, C++, or Python in scientific or systems contexts.
• Experience supporting government or Department of Defense software projects.
