Mid-Level Software Engineer (Cyber Analytics)

What you will do

• Research, design, develop, test, and debug electronic data-processing software and advanced applications.
• Build low-level system software, including compilers, assemblers, utilities, and operating-system components.
• Apply scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure software-system outcomes.
• Analyze user needs, system capabilities, requirements, interfaces, performance constraints, and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with systems analysts, software engineers, programmers, equipment designers, and hardware engineers.
• Coordinate software installations, monitor equipment functionality, and maintain development lifecycle standards.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 8+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience.
• Extensive technical expertise in software systems and the ability to act as an emerging authority.
• Experience developing technical solutions to complex multidisciplinary problems.
• Hands-on experience across the full software development lifecycle, including documentation, testing, and debugging.
• Expertise in programming techniques and controls for electronic data-processing systems.

Nice to have

• GitLab and Jira experience.
• High-performance computing or data-intensive technologies such as Spark or Databricks.
• Low-level systems programming and operating-system architecture knowledge.
• Experience applying mathematical models to software engineering challenges.
• Experience leading technical project components or mentoring junior engineers.
