Avionics Manufacturing Supervisor

Location: Onsite at the Torrance, California facility, United States. The role may require extended hours or weekends and up to 30% travel.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Avionics Manufacturing Technicians while establishing a scalable technician leadership structure.
• Organize work orders, assign labor, balance workloads, and manage daily production execution and output.
• Provide hands-on support for complex builds, PCBA rework, wire harnesses, electro-mechanical assembly, integration, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing Engineering, Avionics Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Supply Chain to resolve production issues.
• Drive improvements in productivity, first-pass yield, workmanship, repeatability, tooling, work instructions, test equipment, and production flow.
• Maintain accurate work orders, inspection records, test results, nonconformance documentation, and manufacturing records.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in avionics, electronics, electrical manufacturing, or related production.
• Experience leading technicians and supporting daily production execution.
• Hands-on experience building, testing, troubleshooting, or repairing avionics or electrical hardware.
• Experience with PCBA rework, wire harness manufacturing, electro-mechanical assembly, or electrical testing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Must meet U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain the required U.S. authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience supervising technicians in aerospace, defense, electronics, automotive, or other high-reliability manufacturing environments.
• Experience with flight hardware, production schedules, work-order systems, manufacturing execution systems, product lifecycle management, or documentation systems.
• Advanced PCBA rework, wire harness manufacturing, electrical troubleshooting, GD&T, mechanical drawings, or electronic principles.
• Experience improving manufacturing processes, tooling, work instructions, test equipment, or production metrics.
