Location: Knoxville, Tennessee, United States; on-site at the Knoxville facility. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.

What you will do
- Own manufacturing engineering execution for assigned products, modules, and components throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define manufacturing processes, workflows, tooling concepts, technical standards, and production documentation.
- Lead NPI readiness, DFM/DFA collaboration, product transition, and manufacturing trade studies.
- Identify manufacturing risks and improve yield, cycle time, throughput, cost, quality, and manufacturability.
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for manufacturing and quality issues.
- Partner with design and plant engineering teams, participate in IPTs, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 3 years with a master’s degree, or equivalent experience.
- Experience supporting manufacturing engineering through NPI and production environments.
- Experience with manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, additive manufacturing, or welding.
- Experience with DFM/DFA, manufacturing readiness, and structured problem-solving.
- U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance are required.
Nice to have
- Experience with aerospace propulsion, rotating machinery, flight hardware, or additive manufacturing production.
- Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, Lean Manufacturing, GD&T, and tolerance analysis.
- Experience with AS9100-certified environments, LRIP, production ramp-up, or startup engineering organizations.
