What you will do

• Define and own production and process validation testing for incoming PCBAs, including receiving inspection, ICT or flying probe, X-ray, coating inspection, and functional or environmental screening.
• Translate schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, IPC-A-610, and J-STD-001 criteria into digital work instructions and controlled manufacturing travelers.
• Specify, build, and qualify bed-of-nails, functional test fixtures, test stations, and supporting instrumentation.
• Manage incoming-board nonconformances, including containment, root cause analysis, and MRB disposition.
• Lead contract manufacturer audits and supplier corrective actions in partnership with QA and supply chain.
• Analyze yield and defect data, validate measurement methods, improve supplier and internal processes, and mentor engineers and technicians.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial, or related engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of manufacturing or test engineering experience in a PCBA or electronics production environment; 5+ years may be accepted with an advanced degree.
• Direct experience owning production or process validation testing for electronic assemblies.
• Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001 standards, plus experience with ICT, flying probe, functional testing, and related fixtures and equipment.
• Ability to interpret schematics, assembly prints, and BOMs, with working knowledge of GD&T and nonconformance root cause analysis.
• Must be eligible to work on U.S. space technology subject to applicable export regulations.

Nice to have

• Experience in aerospace, space, defense, or other high-reliability electronics manufacturing.
• PCB contract manufacturer audit experience and familiarity with MES or ERP systems.
• Python or similar programming experience for test automation or data analysis.
• Experience scaling validation from NPI or first article through repeatable production.
