Systems Administrator II

Location: Hybrid role based in Atlanta, Georgia, US, with 30% travel to claims centers throughout Georgia, the Pick & Pack Warehouse in Duluth, and the Depot in Austell. After-hours maintenance and emergency support are required.

Salary: $40,887–$115,000 estimated starting compensation range.

What you will do

• Administer servers, VMware virtualization platforms, storage systems, telecommunications, and network infrastructure.
• Monitor and support WAN, LAN, wireless, internet connectivity, firewalls, and enterprise systems in 24x7 operational environments.
• Perform troubleshooting, escalation, patching, backups, disaster recovery, and failover support.
• Monitor SAN storage, data center equipment, HVAC, UPS, PDU, and environmental systems.
• Provide support for end-user devices, printers, scanners, label printers, and conference room technology across local and remote sites.
• Coordinate vendors and service providers while maintaining procedures, documentation, inventories, warranties, and infrastructure lifecycle plans.

Requirements

• Based in Atlanta, Georgia, US, with regular travel throughout Georgia.
• Associate's degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure operations, or enterprise IT support.
• Experience with Linux, Windows, VMware, virtualized environments, enterprise storage, backups, security, Microsoft 365, and SharePoint.
• Strong knowledge of networking, TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, wireless, and telecommunications.
• Ability to support after-hours maintenance and emergency situations, with strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and documentation skills.

Nice to have

• VMware, Microsoft, CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or Security+ certification.
• Experience with data center operations, FileMaker Pro Server, enterprise security practices, automation, and scripting.
