IT Operations Engineer

TL;DR

IT Operations Engineer (Cloud and Enterprise Infrastructure): Supporting and maintaining multisite server, cloud, network, and virtualization environments for enterprise customers with an accent on system reliability, security, and operational automation. Focus on resolving complex infrastructure incidents, administering AWS, Azure, O365, and VMware platforms, and protecting data through backup and disaster recovery solutions.

Location: Onsite in the Mt Laurel, New Jersey area, supporting customers in the New Jersey and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania area. Game day support is required on major holidays when games are played.

Salary: $120,000–$165,000 per year.

What you will do

• Manage Windows, Linux, and Unix server environments and enterprise infrastructure.
• Administer AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, virtualization, and containerization platforms.
• Support Cisco, Arista, Meraki, wireless, firewall, routing, DNS, and Infoblox environments.
• Monitor infrastructure and network performance using SolarWinds and DataDog.
• Lead incident resolution, meet SLAs, escalate issues, and maintain detailed network documentation.
• Support secure networking, vulnerability remediation, backup, and disaster recovery operations.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Cisco Nexus, Arista, Meraki switches, Cisco Wireless Controllers, Windows, Linux, and Unix.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, O365, VMware, virtualization, containerization, Infoblox, DNS, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience with Rubrik or Zerto backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with firewalls, routing protocols, network monitoring, and ServiceNow ticketing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in complex multisite environments; CCNA, CCNP, ITIL, or related technical certifications are preferred.

Nice to have

• Python, PowerShell, or Bash scripting for server and cloud automation.
• Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration experience.
• Security best practices, SIEM platforms, and endpoint protection knowledge.
• Data center networking, infrastructure capacity planning, performance tuning, video streaming, or CDN experience.
