What you will do

• Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux and Windows systems supporting HPC operations.
• Administer enterprise storage, backup, recovery, network-attached storage, and Fibre Channel SAN environments.
• Investigate and resolve HPC issues across operating systems, networking, storage, and applications.
• Coordinate server, storage hardware, and application deployment activities with support personnel and project managers.
• Provide remote support and participate in rotational on-call coverage.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or 16 years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 12 years of full-time experience in complex IT environments, including enterprise infrastructure architecture, deployment, and support.
• Required systems certification such as MCSE, VCAP, RHCE, or an equivalent credential.
• Expert knowledge of Linux administration and networking in large, high-performance, highly available environments.
• Experience with Microsoft systems, virtualization, enterprise server hardware, networking, firewalls, VPNs, backup platforms, containers, scripting, and technical documentation.
• Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Nice to have

• Hybrid on-premises and cloud infrastructure administration.
• Kubernetes, Python, REST APIs, Git, automated bare-metal provisioning, Ansible, Docker, VDI, and replication systems.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry.
