Senior Electrical Engineer (Spector)

Location: Plainview, New York, United States; onsite role

Salary: $128,559.00–$162,841.40 per year, plus bonus opportunity

What you will do

• Lead the design, verification, release, and improvement of electrical subsystems for SPECTOR ion beam deposition systems.
• Own multilayer PCB architecture from concept through production, including stack-up, power distribution, controlled-impedance routing, EMC, and manufacturing readiness.
• Resolve complex electrical, controls, and integration challenges involving motion control, robotics, power electronics, and system interfaces.
• Define electrical requirements and engineering specifications aligned with customer and business objectives.
• Lead subsystem integration, validation, testing, and root-cause investigations.
• Provide technical leadership across software, mechanical engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and field service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years, or a PhD with at least 3 years.
• Deep expertise in multilayer PCB design, signal integrity, power integrity, controlled-impedance routing, EMI mitigation, and design for manufacturing.
• Experience diagnosing electrical issues with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience integrating electronics with motion control systems, robotics, industrial controllers, power supplies, and vacuum-based process equipment.
• Experience with manufacturing partners and board fabricators, plus familiarity with CE, UL, TÜV, and RoHS requirements.
• Eligibility to work in environments supporting advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment; travel up to 15%.
