What you will do
- Design and build multi-agent research pipelines for generating hypotheses, synthesizing strategies, and running large-scale experiments.
- Define and implement a Strategy DSL and compiler for safe strategy representation across research, simulation, and live trading.
- Create falsification-first evaluation systems to identify overfitting, leakage, and non-robust signals before deployment.
- Develop an alpha memory system that tracks hypotheses, experiments, and outcomes to prevent repeated exploration of invalid ideas.
- Define evaluation metrics covering robustness, regime stability, capacity, execution realism, and novelty.
- Partner with engineering to connect research artifacts with experiment infrastructure, simulation, production trading, monitoring, and continuous adaptation.
Requirements
- Experience architecting complex AI or automated research systems.
- Strong understanding of multi-agent systems, experimentation infrastructure, and quantitative trading workflows.
- Ability to design compilers or domain-specific languages for structured strategy representation.
- Expertise in robust evaluation, backtesting limitations, overfitting, leakage, and signal validation.
- Ability to design systems spanning research, simulation, production deployment, monitoring, and feedback loops.
- Must be based in Canada, the Netherlands, or work remotely within the stated arrangement.
