TL;DR
FinOps & Cost Optimization Analyst (Cloud): Driving cost visibility, governance, and savings across cloud infrastructure, software licenses, and SaaS spend with an accent on Azure and AWS cost analysis, licensing, and vendor management. Focus on identifying overprovisioning, building optimization business cases, leading negotiations, and transitioning validated savings into governance and PMO processes.

What you will do
- Consolidate IT license and asset inventories across business units, including Microsoft 365, SAP, security tools, SaaS, and subscriptions.
- Establish cost transparency for Azure and AWS environments and categorize spend by business unit, environment, and workload.
- Compare usage with licensed capacity to identify unused assets, redundancies, overprovisioning, oversized resources, and reservation gaps.
- Prioritize optimization opportunities and develop business cases for renegotiation, consolidation, and contract termination.
- Lead vendor negotiations with Legal and coordinate cloud optimization execution with Infrastructure and Cloud teams.
- Track, validate, and evidence savings before transitioning them to PMO and Governance.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in FinOps, Software Asset Management, IT Asset Management, IT Procurement, or IT Cost Management.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management, AWS Cost Explorer, CloudHealth, Apptio, or equivalent tools.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft licensing, including Microsoft 365, Azure EA/MCA, and True-Up processes.
- Experience negotiating SaaS contracts and a strong analytical mindset.
- Fluent English required.
