D2 Metrology Equipment Technician (Semiconductor)

Location: Austin, United States (Ed Bluestein Manufacturing facility); on-site work is required.

What you will do

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in the ATMC Metrology Equipment area.
• Maintain, repair, upgrade, and monitor wafer fabrication metrology and defect-inspection equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems and complete consumable changes.
• Document maintenance activities and train others on equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and internal and external groups to meet safety, performance, and reliability requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor metrology or defect-inspection areas.
• Minimum 8 years of semiconductor-industry maintenance experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Associate degree in Electronics, industrial engineering, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent experience may be accepted.
• Knowledge of maintenance functions, SPC, and FDC, with the ability to improve overall equipment performance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to stand for up to 10 hours, work in confined spaces, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
