Research Assistant (NanoOmics)

What you will do

• Prepare, conduct, document, and evaluate laboratory experiments and fieldwork.
• Investigate the relationship between brain pathology and the blood proteome using nanoparticle-enabled technology.
• Analyse and interpret research results and develop original ideas from experimental outcomes.
• Contribute to research planning, reports, and scientific publications.
• Participate actively in a multidisciplinary research team.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant subject.
• Current or prior Procedure Individual Licence (PIL) for in vivo work.
• Demonstrable expertise in histology, including tissue staining and sectioning.
• Experience with proteomics techniques, including gel electrophoresis and ELISA.
• Experience using mass spectrometry data analysis tools such as Proteome Discoverer, Progenesis, or Scaffold.
• Experience working with animal models of glioblastoma; Skilled Worker visa sponsorship is not available, and applicants must demonstrate the right to work in the UK.
