Senior Research Associate (Biomarker Assays)

Location: Onsite in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA

Salary: $67,900–$101,000 annual base salary, with potential discretionary or non-discretionary bonuses.

What you will do

• Execute complex laboratory experiments supporting reagent and assay development projects.
• Analyze experimental data and contribute to research and development objectives.
• Advance biomarker measurement technologies with limited supervision.
• Identify experimental issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement solutions.
• Manage multiple changing priorities, deadlines, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with research and development colleagues while working independently when required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of immunoassay technology and biomarker measurement principles.
• Ability to execute complex experiments with limited guidance.
• Solid data analysis skills and basic knowledge of statistics.
• Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organization, planning, time management, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a laboratory environment, spend up to 75% of the day at a lab bench, work above four feet occasionally, and lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of GraphPad Prism.
• Knowledge of SharePoint.
