Salary: $103,400β$192,000 per year, plus a potential discretionary annual bonus

What you will do
- Design and optimize differentiation protocols for human iPSC-derived CNS cell types, including neurons, microglia, astrocytes, and oligodendrocytes.
- Use CRISPR/Cas9 and cellular engineering to create disease-relevant mutants, reporter lines, and knockout models.
- Develop co-culture and 3D cellular models to study complex neurodegenerative disease phenotypes.
- Establish molecular and functional assays using qPCR, RNA-seq, proteomics, immunostaining, high-content imaging, and flow cytometry.
- Lead arrayed or pooled functional CRISPR screens to identify disease modifiers and therapeutic targets.
- Analyze cellular, genetic, and functional datasets and communicate findings through reports and scientific presentations.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Stem Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Neuroscience, Immunology, or a related scientific discipline.
- 0β3 years of research experience in academia, biotechnology, or pharmaceuticals.
- Hands-on expertise in human iPSC culture, quality control, genetic engineering, and directed differentiation into CNS cell types.
- Experience with CRISPR-based genetic perturbation and functional screening workflows.
- Strong background in optical imaging, molecular profiling, biochemistry, and quantitative cellular assays.
- Proactive approach, clear communication, data integrity, and collaborative teamwork.
Nice to have
- Experience with multicellular co-culture models and disease-relevant functional assays such as protein misfolding and aggregation assays.
- Experience with non-viral delivery methods such as LNPs or viral vectors including lentivirus and AAV.
- Experience with automated liquid handlers, high-throughput screening, or single-cell sequencing analysis using R or Python.
- Familiarity with AI or machine learning-based image analysis for cellular phenotyping.
- Pharmaceutical industry experience.
