Confluent Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM)

Location: Remote within the United States; listed locations include Poughkeepsie, Lowell, Rochester, Tucson, Research Triangle Park, Armonk, Boston, Bellevue, Atlanta, San Jose, Dallas, Austin, San Francisco, and Seattle. Some travel may be required based on business demand.

Salary: $131,000–$245,000 per year.

What you will do

• Coordinate cross-functional Kafka initiatives across engineering, product, security, and partner organizations.
• Drive planning, prioritization, dependency management, risk mitigation, and end-to-end program execution.
• Lead technical discussions and support decisions involving cloud infrastructure, networking, scalability, and disaster recovery.
• Track progress, communicate risks and status, and remove roadblocks affecting delivery.
• Facilitate meetings and decisions related to schedules, bug triage, and customer deliverables.
• Align upstream and downstream teams to unblock roadmap execution and maintain predictable delivery schedules.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of Technical Program Management experience leading large, complex, cross-functional programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with JIRA, BigQuery, and Google Apps Script.
• Strong foundations in cloud networking and cloud infrastructure, with the ability to engage in technical discussions.
• Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in agile environments with sprint planning, reporting, and program tracking.

Nice to have

• Experience leading cross-functional cloud platform engineering initiatives.
• Familiarity with Confluent Platform or Apache Kafka.
• Experience building dashboards and reports with JQL, SQL, BigQuery, or Data Studio.
• Background in SRE, platform engineering, or infrastructure organizations.
• Master’s degree or experience driving operational excellence across teams.
